My Approach

Are you looking to create a richer, more fulfilling life? I have the experience and skills to help you address the barriers that hinder you and cause additional suffering in your life. I will help you identify your strengths and build new skills and behaviors to enhance your well-being.

I provide a safe, nurturing and non-judgmental environment to assist you in reaching your goals. I offer a creative and relational approach to therapy based on your needs.

Through the use of various psychotherapy methods and collaborative treatment measures, my clients develop life-changing habits to help them cope with all of life’s various obstacles.

My therapeutic approach is the result of years of experience practicing and studying methods of psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy and behavior modification. I understand that choosing a therapist is a deeply personal process and it is essential that you feel a connection with the therapist you choose. My practice is an open, accepting and collaborative place for you to express yourself without fear of judgment. I provide an environment focused on compassion and support.

There is no therapeutic method that works for everyone. Therapy, in and of itself, is specific to the person. Drawing from traditional methods as well as new treatments supported by current research, I am able to cater to the individual needs of my clients.

I will help you learn to identify your emotions and understand behavioral patterns. Too often, life has a way of stripping us of the ability to feel what is happening around us. Instead, we just go though the motions, never stopping to think about how we truly feel. I am dedicated to helping you learn how to access those emotions in order to work through hardships and develop the skills necessary in order to achieve emotional recovery.

A traditional form of treatment based on the principle that unconscious thoughts and feelings influence our actions and behaviors.

Our past experiences shape the way we think, and when we continue irrational thinking patterns and self-destructive behaviors, we fall into a cycle of negativity

To resolve our current ailments, we must first unravel and understand painful memories and past experiences

Clients are encouraged to explore past relationships and experiences to discover how those dynamics influence current behavior

A method of treatment that emphasizes the interconnectivity of our thoughts, feelings and behaviors

CBT encourages clients to break down their problems into smaller parts, teaching them to set small goals in order to overcome larger problems.

Improving your outlook on life and your ability to cope with future hardships is the reason CBT is highly regarded by professionals
